4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Training Workshop

• Each individual who wishes to volunteer on behalf of the 4-H Shooting Sports Program in Indiana must:
  • Be an approved Indiana 4-H Volunteer
  • Complete the 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Training Workshop in the discipline(s) for which you will be teaching youth
• Certification Workshops are conducted through a partnership with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Hunter Education Division and the State 4-H Shooting Sports Committee
• Workshops are held at Ross Camp in Tippecanoe County.
• Registration opens approximately 6 weeks before the workshop is scheduled. Registration will conclude 10 days before the workshop, unless the sessions fill to capacity before then.
• Registrations are handled by the Indiana Hunter Education Association. Registration fee is $200.00 per person.
• Dates for upcoming workshops are:
  • 2025 Training dates
    • April 4-6, 2025 (Registration to open around February 21 and to close around March 24)
    • September 5-7, 2025 (Registration to open around July 25 and to close around August 25)
  • 2026 Training dates
    • April 10-12, 2026 (Registration to open around February 27 and to close around March 30)
    • September 11-13, 2026 (Registration to open around July 31 and to close around August 31)
